Red Maple sportswear is a fair trade company offering sweaters, vests, hats, scarves and shawls made using fair trade practices in Peru. Most of the staff is involved in raising alpacas so have a good knowledge of the best use of the fibre. The Canadian Camelid co-op imports these products for their members to sell as we do not produce enough fibre in Canada to make these products for sale. The co-op chooses this company for their fair trade practices and their similar policies on quality control and the use of smaller factories similar to the co-op. The products are made by local artisans as well as in the factory in Peru. All products are made with high quality alpaca fibre.
